His homestead in Haddam, Ct., was opposite the cemetery, and he owned the land between the cemetery and the Connecticut River, and it is now the property of Judge E.P. Arnold. (1908) Seth Arnold had a hard experience in the Revolutionary Army: served three years, was twice taken prisoner, on prison ship nine months. In 1780 he removed to Westminster. His pension was granted March 4, 1831. It will be seen that he lived to 102 years of age. He made a public profession of religion at 89, and dressed himself the day he died.
