    • RICHARD TILLMAN of (6) is shown in the Visitation of Kent as living at Holloway Court, Snodland Parish during the time of King Henry, the Fourth. This would be 1399-1413. He was the father of Thomas and William. The magazine of the Maryland Historical Society for June 1905, said that this Richard Tilghman was living circa 1450 at Holloway Court and that the name of his wife was Dionysis. Some vague reference has also been found to Dionysis Holloway. The son William, who d. 1493, m. Margaret Saunders and settled in both Snodland Parish and Faverisham Parish. This William Tilghman recorded his arms and crest in 1468. This is from the Visitation of Kent of 1574 and also of 1619. The two visitations also stated that the descendants of this William's brother, Thomas, were as recorded. In his will this William Tilghman made mention of a Richard Tilghman then living at Maidsone and his son John then a student at Oxford.
